Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PET/CT Technologist for our mobile facilities around Marietta, GA. This full-time role emphasizes patient safety, high-quality imaging, and clear communication with radiologists and patients.

The position requires Nuclear Medicine certification (NMTCB/ARRT-N), CPR, and ability to work across multiple locations. Benefits include competitive compensation and a strong PTO plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N)
• State license, as required
• CPR certification
• As applicable, valid state driver’s license
• Ability to work at several locations
• Strong customer service skills
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc. and radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patients.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists
• Trains new technologists and/or PCs
• Troubleshoots the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, coils, etc.)
