Akumin is hiring a PRN PET/CT technologist for our Clarksville, TN facility. The role involves producing high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images while prioritizing patient safety, pre-screening for contraindications, and adhering to radiation safety regulations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in Nuclear Medicine, NMTCB/ARRT (N) certification, CPR, and a state license as applicable. Travel may be required; the position supports ongoing physician and vendor collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; NMTCB/ARRT (N) certification as required.
• CPR certification and valid state license may be required.
• 3+ years’ nuclear medicine experience in high-visibility settings.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality PET/CT diagnostic images with strict radiation safety.
• Screen patients for contraindications and document properly.
• Coordinate with physicians and radiology directors on protocols and quality.
• Troubleshoot scanners, coaching equipment, and peripherals as needed.
• Support the Sales team with start-ups and new business activities.

This will be a PRN position.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Produces high-quality diagnostic images, responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection techniques, etc. and radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patientsPartners with local ADDs (Account Development Directors) to effectively communicate with physician groups and Radiology/Clinic Directors, and Radiologists on PET/CT software, customer portal, scanning protocols, and quality issues.Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).Assists Sales team with start-ups and new business as needed.Other responsibilities as assigned.Position Requirements:Associate's degree or equivalent experience.NMTCB or ARRT (N)State license, as required.CPR certificationAs applicable, valid state driver’s license.Experienced Nuclear Technologist with 3+ years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies working in high-pressure/high visibility environments with regular patient satisfaction surveys.Previous experience managing business relationships with physicians and customers.Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and adapt to new environments quickly.Ability to work at several locations.Organizational and multi-tasking skills.Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs90% travel may be required.Preferred:Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent ExperienceKnowledge and experience on several OEMs and with multiple vendors such as GE, Siemens, Philips, etc.At Akumin, we invest in the well-being of our employees, so you can bring your best self to work each day.
