Qualifications

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join our team. We aim to innovate radiology, making it a vital step in diagnosis and treatment. Join us and shine brighter!


This is a PRN position with hours from 6:30am to 6:30pm.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Patient PET/CT Imaging (90%)
  2. Screens patient for precautions, confirms identity, and prepares them for imaging procedures.
  3. Performs routine and advanced PET/CT scans, ensuring minimal repeats and supporting patients throughout.
  4. Adjusts scan parameters and utilizes dose reduction techniques as needed.
  5. Maintains positive relationships with colleagues and referring physicians.
  6. Follows physicians' orders and safety regulations.
  7. Maintains accurate patient records in RIS.
  8. Ensures a clean and safe work environment.
  9. Adheres to ACR accreditation standards.
  10. Maintains and disinfects equipment.
  11. Complies with HIPAA guidelines.
  12. Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals per regulations.
  13. Administers FDG intravenously.
  14. Demonstrates safety awareness and reports contamination.

  1. PET/CT Department Support (5%)
  2. Maintains imaging protocols and software.
  3. Monitors supplies and assists in training new staff.
  4. Performs quality control procedures on equipment.
  5. Ensures compliance with radiation standards and regulations.

  1. Other Tasks (5%)
  2. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
  • NMTCB or ARRT registered in Nuclear Medicine, in good standing.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved radiography program.
  • State licensure as a Radiological Technologist, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience in independently performing PET/CT procedures.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual abilities.
  • ARRT certification in CT.
  • NMTCB PET Specialty certification.
