Job summary

Texas Oncology in Mesquite is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. This role supports PET imaging procedures, quality assurance, scheduling, and data management across site operations.

The ideal candidate has ARRT/N and CNMT credentials, 3–5 years of nuclear medicine experience, and a strong commitment to patient safety and accurate imaging documentation. This is a full-time on-site position with a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology with PET-CT certification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in nuclear medicine and/or PET.
  • CNMT and/or ARRT(N) certification and state licensure where applicable.
  • Knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic PET imaging procedures including injection of radiopharmaceuticals, IV contrast and protocol setup.
  • Assists in procedure scheduling and front office functions to ensure workflow.
  • Ensures accuracy of patient demographics, report distribution and file handling.
  • Assists with clinical data collection for follow-up and educational materials.
  • Maintains safety standards and conducts daily quality control of the scanner.
  • Reports malfunctions and requests service as needed.
  • Manages patient data and films including printing, archiving, transfers, and logging.
  • Understands IV contrast contraindications and reactions and knows the response procedures.
  • Orders necessary office, medical, printing and archiving media.
