Job summary

Insight Imaging seeks a PET/CT Technologist to operate PET/CT scanners, guide patients through procedures, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images. You will administer radiopharmaceuticals, monitor safety, and maintain accurate RIS records while delivering excellent patient service in a fast-paced radiology setting.

The role emphasizes patient communication, adherence to HIPAA, and collaboration with radiologists and staff to support accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Screens patient before exam using two identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
• Explains and prepares patients for PET/CT imaging procedures and positions patients for imaging.
• Performs routine and advanced PET/CT imaging procedures with minimal supervision, while guiding patients.
• Adjusts scan parameters and uses dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
• Maintains patient records in Radiology Information System (RIS) and upkeep of clean work area.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and safety regulations; monitors and reports any contamination.
• Prepares, records and administers radiopharmaceuticals per NRC/state regulations; administers FDG intravenously.
• Demonstrates safe work behaviors and coordinates with physicians and staff.
