Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to operate PET/CT scanners for diagnostic imaging. You will guide patients through procedures, ensure safety, and maintain accurate records in RIS.

This is a Temp/PRN role with hours from 6:30pm to 5:00pm, requiring strong patient communication and technical proficiency. Ideal candidates are licensed Nuclear Medicine/Radiologic Technologists with CPR certification and PET/CT experience, capable of independent work and adherence to regulatory

Qualifications

• NMTCB or ARRT registered technologist in Nuclear Medicine, current and in good standing.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiography.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have training and experience to competently perform PET/CT procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screen patient before exam using two identifiers.
• Explain and prepare patients for PET/CT imaging and position them.
• Perform routine and advanced PET/CT imaging procedures as directed.
• Adjust scan parameters and apply dose reduction techniques as needed.
• Maintain patient records within RIS and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with HIPAA and safety regulations.
• Ensure equipment is functioning and report issues as required.
