Job summary

Sentara Health Plans is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to perform imaging under physician supervision in Norfolk, VA. You will position patients, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, manage IV/contrast and operate radiology systems to obtain quality PET/CT images.

ARRT (CT) certification is required with registry within 2 years of hire; IV competency is mandatory. The role supports patient education and strict adherence to QA standards in a high-compliance environment.

Qualifications

• ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school certificate required.
• ARRT (CT) certification required; CT registry within 2 years of hire.
• IV competency is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PET/CT imaging under physician direction.
• Position patient to demonstrate anatomy/pathology accurately.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals; manage IV/oral contrast.
• Operate radiation-producing equipment and radiology systems.
• Provide patient and family education; discharge instructions.
• Complete departmental documentation and QA/QA standards.
