Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking a PET/CT technologist to perform PET/CT imaging under physician supervision, including patient positioning and preparation of radiopharmaceuticals. You will manage IV/CT contrast dosing and operate radiology equipment, while educating patients and completing documentation.

Requirements include ALD Radiologic Sciences or a trade school certificate, and ARRT (CT) certification or CT registry within 2 years of hire; IV competency is required.

• Perform PET/CT imaging under physician direction and ensure proper patient positioning.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, IV and oral CT contrast, and dose management.
• Explain examination procedures and discharge instructions and complete documentation.
• Maintain quality control and comply with state, federal, and local regulations.
