Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist based in Mississippi. The role focuses on patient safety, pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection techniques, and accurate documentation while delivering high-quality diagnostic images.

You will ensure radiation safety compliance, train new technologists, and support radiologists and customers. The ideal candidate holds NMTCB/ARRT(N) certification, CPR, and state licensure, with 1–2 years of experience and strong multitasking

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N).
  • State license, CPR certification, and driver’s license as applicable.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
  • Produces high quality diagnostic images.
  • Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
  • Trains new technologists and/or PCs.
  • Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).

Job description


  • Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc.

  • Radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patients.

  • Produces high quality diagnostic images.

  • Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.

  • Trains new technologists and/or PCs.

  • Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).


Requirements


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience

  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N)

  • State license, as required

  • CPR certification

  • As applicable, valid state driver’s license

  • Ability to work at several locations

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs

  • Preferred: Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience

  • 1-2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies.
