Job summary

RadNet is seeking a PET/CT Technologist in Hoboken, NJ to perform high quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging while prioritizing patient care and safety. You will ensure correct radiopharmaceutical dosing, explain procedures to patients, and monitor well-being during exams.

• ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT) with a State Nuclear Medicine License or ARRT(R) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality nuclear medicine and/or PET/CT images with patient care.
• Ensure proper radiopharmaceutical doses are ordered for each patient.
• Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients and guide them through exams.
• Monitor patient well‑being during exams and respond to discomfort or issues.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications per policy.

You Will

• Perform high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care.
• Assure proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient.
• Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes-difficult process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers. Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
