Job summary

Radiology Forward is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join a team delivering high-quality nuclear medicine imaging. You will perform PET/CT and nuclear medicine studies, ensuring accurate radionuclide dosing and patient safety in a patient-centric environment.

This role requires ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT) licenses or ARRT(R) with related state licenses, with BLS and venipuncture certification. A sign-on bonus is offered; on-site work in New Jersey is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT images on patients with excellent care.
  • Ensure correct dose of radionuclides is ordered for each patient.
  • Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients and guide them through the process.
  • Safeguard patient information, property, and medications on site.
  • Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers; respect boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships in a clinical setting.

You Will:
  • Perform high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care.
  • Assure proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient.
  • Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes-difficult process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
  • Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers. Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:
  • Must have current ARRT(N) and ARRT (CT) with State Nuclear Medicine License.
  • Or Current ARRT(R) certification
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have BLS certification
  • Must have venipuncture certification/permit.
