Job Summary

Performs molecular imaging protocols, including SPECT and PET, and computed tomography for attenuation correction. Observes radiation safety (ALARA), handles radiopharmaceuticals safely, and follows institutional guidelines for patient safety. Assists in training new hires and students.

Ensures correct protocol and radiation dose, communicates with providers, explains procedures to patients, and performs IV insertions and point-of-care testing as authorized. Prepares radiopharmaceuticals following USP standards, calculates patient doses, acquires and processes images, and manages data storage. Collaborates across departments and stays current with technological advances. Participates in continuing education and adheres to professional standards.

Qualifications
  • Certificate/Diploma in Imaging required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear Medicine) license in Massachusetts upon hire.
  • ARRT or NMTCB (NM) certification within 90 days.
  • CPR certification within 90 days.
  • CT certification within one year (for Nuc Med Tech II).
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to provide age-appropriate care for all patient age groups.
  • Knowledge of radiation detection, imaging, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication, professionalism, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with imaging systems such as SPECT, PET, CT, and related equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs with assistance, and perform other physical tasks listed.
Work Details
  • Onsite at 80 Everett Avenue.
  • 40 hours/week, day shift.
  • Regular employment, full-time.
