The candidate should have an associate or bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification, and PET/PET-CT certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Licensure as required by state is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
• ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification required.
• PET and/or PET/CT certification preferred or willing to obtain within timeframe.
• Valid state licensure where required.
• Knowledge of radiopharmaceutical handling and radiation safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform PET and PET/CT imaging procedures according to established protocols.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with radiation safety standards.
• Verify patient identity, review medical history, and explain procedures to patients.
• Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to adverse reactions.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot PET imaging equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records, imaging data, and documentation.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and radiation regulations.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment.
• Participate in quality assurance, quality control, and continuing education.
