Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Veterinary Assistant/Client Service Representative at Fairview Veterinary Hospital in Ontario, NY. This full-time hybrid role combines clinical support with front-desk duties, supporting veterinarians and licensed technicians.

Responsibilities include client communication, medical record updates, inventory management, and dispensing pharmaceuticals. The position requires at least 1 year in animal care, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in animal care/animal husbandry.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; AAS or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and educate clients on medical procedures and next steps.
• Assist DVMs and LVTs with patients during pre-op, surgery, and post-op.
• Stock exam and treatment rooms with supplies and maintain sterile environments.
• Utilize information systems to record patient history and maintain medical records.
• Dispense pharmaceuticals as required.
• Place weekly inventory orders and manage on-hand inventory.
