Job summary

Petsense by Tractor Supply is seeking a Team Member to interact with customers, support selling initiatives, and perform assigned tasks while delivering legendary customer service. The role involves handling live animals, stocking, merchandising, and aiding customers with loading purchases.

Strong communication and basic computer skills are valued; experience in retail or pet care is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience: No experience required. Retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, Team Members must be able to read, write and count accurately.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance and work scheduled shifts.
• Assist customers with loading purchases and answer questions to support selling initiatives.
• Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures.
• Participate in merchandise recovery, freight processing, plan-o-gram execution and price changes.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of live animals and maintain housing and habitats.
• Complete all documentation related to duties; perform additional duties as assigned.
