Job summary

Nationwide Pet Insurance seeks a dedicated Member Care Representative I to handle routine inbound calls about Nationwide Pet products in a remote setting. The role emphasizes empathy, clear policy explanations, and strong customer service in a fast-paced call center.

Training lasts two months with a 5am–7pm PST shift window after. Starting pay is $23/hour (about $47,151 yearly). Requires availability on Saturdays and comfort with medical terminology and multiple systems.

Qualifications

• One year of work-related experience; insurance and/or phone-based customer service preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office; able to navigate multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality member service with prompt, thorough responses and aims for first call resolution.
• Educates members on policy information and coverage using clear language.
• Identifies and resolves member concerns with critical thinking while balancing member and company interests.
• Maintains documentation of interactions and communicates with other departments to resolve issues.
• Prepares correspondence to members upon request.
