Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is looking for a friendly Retail Pet Store Associate to assist customers with product choices and pet care guidance in a fast-paced environment. You’ll operate the checkout, handle returns, promote loyalty programs, and maintain neat displays.

Ideal candidates have strong communication and teamwork skills, are able to lift and stock items, and are available evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training provided for pet care services.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, including weekends.
• Willingness to learn about pet nutrition, products and care.
• Reliable, team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to lift, stock, and be on feet for extended periods.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet neighbors with a friendly attitude.
• Help customers select food and products.
• Make thoughtful product recommendations.
• Operate POS system, process transactions, and returns.
• Promote store specials and loyalty programs.
• Stock shelves and keep displays tidy.
• Assist with self-wash stations and pet care services.
• Restock supplies and keep store clean.
• Provide occasional nail trims (training provided).
