Job summary

Pico Rivera Animal Hospital, part of PetVet Care Centers, is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join our team. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, managing appointments, and supporting the hospital’s day-to-day operations in a fast-paced veterinary setting.

Qualifications

• 2 years of reception experience / scheduling in a medical setting.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in veterinary medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and in high-stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, schedules appointments.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners.
• Assists with medication pickups and inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing.
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.
