Job summary

Petco in Massachusetts seeks a General Manager to lead a high-performing Pet Care Center and put pets first while delivering strong business results.

You will own people leadership, set standards, coach teams, and ensure safety and quality in animal care, customer service, and store operations. The role requires 3+ years of management experience, flexibility for varied hours, and a passion for pets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in retail leadership or similar roles.
• Strong leadership, coaching and talent development skills.
• Solid business, financial, and operational acumen.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the business: drive sales growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
• Lead a performance-driven team, hire/train coach and develop talent.
• Manage labor, payroll, and expenses to maximize productivity.
• Execute merchandising, inventory, and safety standards across the center.
• Represent Petco in the community through events and partnerships.
