Petco is seeking an Assistant Manager to support a high-performing Pet Care Center in Florida. You’ll lead store partners, coach teams, and ensure exceptional customer experiences while maintaining operations and brand standards.

In this full-time role you’ll drive sales, monitor metrics, assist with inventory and merchandising, and step in for the General Manager when needed. A passion for pets helps you connect with customers and pets alike.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience including supervisory or management roles.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office.
• Passion for animals and pet care knowledge strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and engage store partners to deliver outstanding service and customer loyalty.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to strengthen performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized store reflecting Petco’s brand and values.
• Drive sales, service, and operational goals from the floor.
• Monitor performance metrics and share results with the General Manager.
• Assist with inventory, merchandising, and promotional events.
• Step into leadership in the General Manager’s absence and resolve customer concerns.
