Job summary

PetIQ is hiring for a manufacturing batch operator to mix and blend pet care ingredients safely and according to SOPs, ensuring accurate batches.

The role focuses on measuring, blending, documenting batch information, and maintaining equipment and a clean, compliant work area in a GMP environment. Candidates must be detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently or with a team to meet production standards and deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience or training
• Ability to read, write, communicate and comprehend required paperwork in English
• Dependable with reliable transportation
• Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure, select and blend ingredients to meet Perrigo’s standards of product
• Obtain all required paperwork for shift (e.g., scale verification, batch blend, time blend)
• Communicate issues to management that could cause delays, safety concerns or losses
• Check pipes, doors, fittings, and hoses for loose parts
• Clean and sanitize equipment as necessary
• Review requisition and batch sheets for accuracy of items, quantities and lot codes
• Perform scale audits and complete batch checklist
• Monitor blending process and maintain accurate process records
• Adhere to health and safety rules and GMPs
• Report machine malfunctions to supervisor
• Maintain inventory and organize work area
• Obtain blending materials and components and move materials as needed
