Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring the safety of pets and clients while delivering quality care. You’ll use NAVTA-aligned skills and participate in ongoing learning opportunities within our hospital team.

You will educate clients about preventive care, wellness plans, and hospital procedures while helping maintain a clean, organized care environment and mentoring other team members.

Qualifications

• Certificate from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure safety of pets, clients and staff.
• Maintain clinic flow by communicating with the team and preparing/assisting with procedures.
• Educate clients on preventive care and our Optimum Wellness Plans.
• Mentor other hospital team members and uphold hospital standards for cleanliness and safety.
