Job summary

Pet Paradise is looking for an individual with a passion for pets to join our team as a Pet Bather for our four-legged friends. Starting rate: $13.50/hour with raises at 6 months and 1 year. We provide extensive training, advancement opportunities, and a broad benefits package across locations in the Southeast.

As a Pet Bather you will assist grooming with baths, manage go-home baths, and help keep stations clean and safe while delivering compassionate care to every pet.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle a variety of animals safely and comfortably.
• Must have the physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift or move heavy pets or objects.
• Ability to calmly handle and bathe pets that may be scared or hesitant.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to cover varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the grooming department with baths prior to scheduled grooms.
• Providing 'go-home' baths as requested by clients or management.
• May perform nail trims, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears as trained.
• Secure and reassure pets to ensure safety and comfort.
• Keep bathing stations clean and ready for next use.
• Ask for assistance if a pet shows unusual stress.
