Job summary

Orkin in Kentucky is hiring technicians for hands-on roles in pest and home protection systems. You’ll join a crew of technicians to install and service solutions, gain paid training, and build a stable, recession-proof career.

Experience in construction, roofing, or home improvement is welcomed; no pest control background required. You’ll receive a company vehicle, health benefits, 401(k), and opportunities for advancement while meeting customers and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain state pesticide license within 90 days (company-paid training).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work safely in attics or crawlspaces.
• Wear PPE including OSHA-compliant respirator as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and install pest and home protection systems.
• Work collaboratively on a crew of technicians to complete a project.
• Complete attic and crawlspace services, including encapsulation and insulation.
• Light carpentry work.
• Communicate clearly with customers.
• Maintain company equipment and complete reports via handheld device.
