Job summary

Orkin is seeking an entry-level technician in Charlotte, NC. You’ll join a team of professionals and receive award-winning training to operate a pest-control service route and protect homes and businesses.

No prior industry experience is required—training starts on day one. You’ll drive a company vehicle, follow safety procedures, and learn customer service while building a lasting career with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• No experience required - training provided.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
• Ability to work in the field independently, manage route-based assignments and interact with customers inside their businesses and/or homes.

Responsibilities

• Complete our award-winning company paid training and learn the skills required to be responsible for the daily operation of a pest control service route to become a Pro.
• Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
• Drive a company vehicle and follow a route schedule within an assigned territory, ensuring timely and safe arrival at each customer.
• Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
• Serve as a problem solver for each customer with empathy by listening to and understanding their needs and utilizing Orkin Pro expertise to recommend the most efficient and innovative solution.
• Prepare and install home or business services including, but not limited to, attic remediations, crawlspace encapsulations, gutter protection, and radiant heat barrier for energy efficiency.
• Interact with customers in their home or business by setting project expectations and walking them through the process to ensure satisfaction.
• Complete all required service‑related documentation and leverage your hand‑held device provided for speed and accuracy.
