Job summary

Aptive Environmental in Poway, CA is seeking a Pest Control Technician to join our field team full-time. You will run a daily route, address customer pest concerns, and keep trucks and equipment in good working order while following state and federal laws.

No prior experience is required; we provide paid training. Benefits include a company vehicle (taken home nightly), gas card, overtime eligibility, and comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and 401(k) with employer match; plus holidays

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Valid US driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 in the past 4 years).
• Drug test and background check will be performed on all new hires.

Responsibilities

• Running a daily route where you will be resolving customer pest concerns and issues
• Maintaining truck and equipment in proper working order
• Keeping accurate records of treatments provided
• Mixing, applying, and working with pesticides following state and federal laws
• Serve as the subject matter expert for your customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer’s individual needs
• Maintain and service all route customers according to company standards and procedures
• Advise customers of potential problems
• Keep management informed of any problems encountered on service routes
• Maintain proper inventory of pesticides in usage
• Please note that you will be assigned a route in your local area
• Carry a product backpack that weighs approximately 50 lbs
• Work schedule includes every other Saturday
