Job summary

Westminster City Council is seeking a Pest Control Officer to discharge statutory obligations and help keep Westminster free of rats, mice and other vermin. You’ll deliver a customer-focused, high quality service, advising complainants and staff on suitable treatments and preventive measures, and carry out surveys after a complaint or request for service.

You’ll coordinate and carry out treatments, use approved methods for efficient pest destruction, perform block treatment and sewer baiting,

Qualifications

• RSPH Level 2 Pest Management or equivalent.
• Experience in operational pest control.
• Ability to plan, deliver and coordinate projects.
• Strong customer focus and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Survey sites and premises after a complaint or request.
• Carry out treatments and coordinate block treatments and sewer baiting.
• Maintain records and monitor pesticides and equipment.
• Participate in call-out roster for emergencies outside normal hours.
• Ensure proper handling of equipment and waste and keep sites tidy.
