Job summary

Ventura Pest Control in Thousand Oaks is seeking an experienced Pest Control Technician to join our growing, locally owned team. You will step into a stable route and deliver top-tier service to thousands of loyal customers.

You will drive a company vehicle, inspect properties, and tailor safe treatment plans. Explain findings clearly and document all services using our standard reporting systems. A CA license, clean driving record, PPE, and pre-employment screening are required.

Qualifications

• Active California Pest Control Applicator, Branch 2 or Branch 3 license.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely use ladders, navigate rooftops, and access attics/crawl spaces.
• Wear PPE and use an OSHA-compliant respirator.
• Willingness to complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, your daily focus is on providing peace of mind to our customers. On a day-to-day basis, you will:

Drive your company-provided vehicle to scheduled residential and commercial properties.

Conduct thorough inspections to identify pest activity, entry points, and nesting areas.

Formulate and execute safe, effective treatment plans tailored to each property’s needs.

Explain your findings and treatment recommendations to customers in plain, easy-to-understand terms.

Accurately document services and chemical applications using our standard reporting systems.

Over time, success means building trusting, long-term relationships with customers, maintaining an excellent safety record, and serving as a knowledgeable, reliable resource for our close-knit team.

Hourly Pay: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on your experience and licensing level.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

• An active California Pest Control Applicator, Branch 2, or Branch 3 License.

• The physical ability to safely use ladders, navigate rooftops, and access confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
• The physical capability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and use an OSHA-compliant respirator.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience or a background in client-facing roles.
• Familiarity with pest issues and treatment methods specific to Ventura County and the surrounding environments.
