Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Pest Control Technician to conduct thorough inspections, apply approved pest control products, and educate customers on prevention methods. You will build relationships, schedule appointments, and assist with sales while ensuring equipment is well-maintained and regulations are followed.

This role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to work Monday through Friday and weekends as needed, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Licenses/certifications as required by regulations.
• Available to work Monday–Friday and weekends as needed.
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills—follow product label instructions.
• Customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest-free environment.
• Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales to current customers, and expand services to new customers.
• Ensure all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
• Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle.

• Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle (routine maintenance provided).

Requirements

• Clean shaven face‑for safety reasons (rebreathers have to be able to seal your face).
• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license from the state of residence.
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
• Available to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
• Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills— You’ll need to be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labels.
• Customer‑facing experience preferred.
