Position: Start Technician (Start Tech)

The Start Technician is responsible for providing 5-star customer service to new customers and performing the first pest control application by applying chemicals and manual solutions to eliminate pests.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform initial indoor and outdoor pest control applications for new customers, ensuring thoroughness and attention to detail.
  2. Interact with customers to explain service features and benefits, providing exceptional customer service.
  3. Follow scheduled routes, communicate with office staff and managers, and maintain accurate, organized records.
  4. Maintain equipment, vehicle, and safety gear in good condition, utilizing technology to manage appointments and records.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
  • Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver's license; driving a company vehicle is an essential function. Driving record must meet insurance standards.
  • Earn and maintain state-required training and pest control licensing if applicable (training provided).

Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay range of $21-$25, with additional compensation opportunities.
  • Paid sick and vacation leave, plus 10 company-paid holidays.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl to access tight spaces like basements and attics.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional heavier lifts.
  • Requires clear vision for close and distant tasks, with adjustable focus.
  • Must stand for long periods, perform physical tasks, and manage repetitive motions.
  • Exposure to pesticides, chemicals, pests, mold, allergens, and hazards; safety gear required.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
