Qualifications

• License and Certification: Valid Georgia Class C Driver's License required. Georgia Structural Pest Control Commission Certification in Category 29 Household Pest Control required; or must be a Registered Technician and obtain Operator Certification in Category 29 within six months of hire. Additional Georgia Commercial Applicator License in categories 17, 30, 31, 35, or 41 preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Two years in commercial/institutional pest control as a Certified Operator, or four years as a Registered Technician.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Ability to read and follow pesticide labels, technical instructions, and MSDS.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Implement and maintain the GCPS IPM program across all locations.
2. Provide excellent customer service, discussing solutions and performing treatments.
3. Perform treatments safely, effectively, and timely, complying with laws.
4. Supervise or review contractor and staff field operations.
5. Maintain accurate records of pesticide applications and inventories.
6. Complete required training and stay updated on pesticide regulations.
7. Operate GCPS vehicles safely and perform related tasks.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Requires standing, walking, kneeling, climbing, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. May work outdoors or indoors under various conditions, with potential hazards from biological species, chemicals, electrical, mechanical, and rotating equipment.
