Job summary

Clark Pest Control, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Pest Service Technician to protect homes and landscapes from pests. You’ll work outdoors, service residential accounts, inspect structures, and discuss treatments with customers.

You’ll receive paid on-the-job training, company vehicle and gas card, and opportunities for advancement. No experience required; a valid driver’s license is necessary and pesticide licensing will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to obtain pesticide license within first 90 days of employment (company paid).
• Ability to work in the field independently and manage route-based assignments.

Responsibilities

• Controlling pests, weeds, lawn fertilization, and other pests on-site in residential accounts.
• Inspecting residential structures to determine infestation severity and degree of damage.
• Creating diagrams showing type, degree and location of infestations.
• Discussing work with customers and providing sales opportunities.
• Coordinating activities with department staff and submitting paperwork daily.
• Performing other administrative tasks as directed by supervisor, including ordering equipment and supplies.
• Determining costs, estimating crew time and scheduling work.
• Receiving and accounting for company funds.
• Maintaining company-issued equipment and vehicle in a clean, safe condition.
