Job summary

Mayvin, Inc. is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist to support the Office of Security Programs within the U.S. Marshals Service.

The role focuses on adjudication of initial background investigations and reinvestigations, requiring strong analytical skills and attention to detail in a federal security context. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least five years in intelligence or security programs, and three years as a security clearance adjudicator, with NBIS eApp

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years in intelligence, security, or national security programs.
• Minimum 3 years as a security clearance adjudicator.
• Experience initiating/reviewing NBIS eApp is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and evaluate investigative reports to determine eligibility for USMS.
• Summarize issues on adjudicator worksheets and recommend approval or disapproval.
• Identify, corroborate, and mitigate derogatory information.
• Determine need for additional inquiries to resolve discrepancies and negative findings.
• Provide final recommendations based on established criteria.

Mayvin is seeking a qualified candidate for the Personnel Security Specialist position supporting the Office of Security Programs within the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS). This role provides critical support to the adjudication process for both initial background investigations and reinvestigations and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in federal personnel security.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must undergo and pass a background investigation.Responsibilities:Review, analyze, and evaluate the results of other investigative agency reports to determine the employment, suitability, and/or security eligibility of individuals for eligibility with USMSSummarize investigative issues on the adjudicator's worksheet, recommending approval/disapproval and noting pertinent suitability, security, and mitigating factorsIdentify, corroborate, and/or mitigate significant derogatory informationDetermine the need for additional inquiries to resolve discrepancies, negative findings, or conflicting informationAnalyze responses to follow-up inquiries or letters and provide final recommendations based on established suitability and security criteriaRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s DegreeMinimum of 5 years of experience working in intelligence, security, or national security programsMinimum of 3 years of proven experience as a security clearance adjudicatorMinimum of 3 years of experience with initiation and review of NBIS eApp (electronic application)Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skillsPreferred Qualifications:National Security Adjudicator trainingAbout MayvinMayvin is more than a workplace—it’s a community built on innovation, ingenuity, and impact.
