Job summary

Convergenz in Chesapeake, VA is seeking contractors to adjudicate personnel security background investigations and prepare accurate case file packages for government processing.

Qualifications

• Role requires contractors to be onsite in Chesapeake, VA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complete and accurate case file packages to the government ready for adjudicative processing.
• Initiate e-QIP or successor system and ensure submission of fingerprints.
• Assist in security audits, manage reception area, access control, and visitor badging.
• Enter required data into the PERSEC system; handle roughly 12,000 annual case requests.
• Interact with SECCEN customers via telephone and email.

Job description

• Deliver complete and accurate case file packages to the government that are ready for further adjudicative processing based on applicable handbooks and processing guides
• Initiate employees’ Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing(e-QIP) or successor system; ensure submission of fingerprints-Responsible for the receiving, screening, validation and processing of documents and case files
• Assist in preparation for security audits and end-of-day procedures, be responsible for the reception area for access control, badging of visitors, mail receipt and delivery and other ancillary duties and projects expected in a professional office environment
• Enter all required data into the PERSEC Systems accurately, DCMS-34 estimates annual case requests at approximately 12,000
• Interact directly with SECCEN customers via telephone and email correspondence

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of previous experience adjudicating personnel security background investigations for eligibility and suitability for federal government employment
• Must be detailed oriented, have great documentation skills and strong organizational skills
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook Theoretical and practical project management knowledge
• Role requires contractors to be onsite in Chesapeake, VA
