Job summary

True Anomaly in Denver is seeking a Personnel Security (PERSEC) Officer to lead the strategic oversight and daily execution of our personnel security program, ensuring full NISPOM, DoD, and IC compliance while enabling rapid classified work.

You will work with Industrial, Physical, IT Security, HR, Legal, and Programs to process cleared personnel efficiently, balance regulatory demands with speed, and drive continuous improvement through SOPs, training, and metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in security management, business, or related field.
• 7+ years of Industrial Security experience with a focus on Personnel Security (PERSEC).
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current Tier 5 and an active Top Secret SCI clearance.
• Domestic travel may be required (25%).

Responsibilities

• Manage the Personnel Security program in partnership with the Sr PERSEC Officer, ensuring compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and all applicable DoD and IC requirements.
• Oversee end-to-end clearance processing, including initial investigations, reinvestigations, Continuous Vetting updates, upgrades, SCI nominations, polygraph coordination, and briefings/debriefings.
• Serve as the Colorado-based interface with DCSA, DoD, and IC PERSEC representatives for all clearance-related matters.
• Ensure accurate submissions and management within DISS, NBIS, and other government systems of record.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, SOPs, and metrics for audit readiness and compliance with FCL and DoD/IC requirements.
• Lead adverse information reporting, incident management, and coordination with Insider Threat, Legal, and HR.
• Forecast clearance demand with Security Leadership and Talent Acquisition to align with business growth.
• Provide senior leadership with clearance strategy, eligibility risk, and program impact to contracts and revenue.
• Train managers and employees on clearance responsibilities and security best practices.
