Personnel Security Assistant

Regular Full-Time Administrative Washington, DC, US

Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual for the position of Personnel Security Assistant.

Job Description:
Summary:The Personnel Security Assistant will provide personnel security administrative support, as necessary, or as requested, in support of continuing development and execution of administration and management functions of HSPD12 and the Personnel Security Program and its components.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise for controlling, preparing, processing, and routing personnel security documents and files.
  • Establish spreadsheets, databases and/or reports on case history and provide data entry, maintenance, and administrative services including:
    • Creation and updating of personnel security action database records
    • Ensuring information is complete and consistent with procedures, policies and precedents.
    • Determining when further information is required to reflect an accurate history
    • Identifying personnel security activities and timelines including action statuses
    • Validating the data in agency ATA system to ensure that it remains up to date
    • Preparing, submitting, monitoring and updating necessary computer tracking systesm concerning appropriate case material
  • Providing expertise in communications, such as forms, letters and memorandums
  • Providing information management expertise with respoce to tracking the status of current personnel security actions and ensuring the timely execution of required investigations.

  • High Risk Public Trust

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of applicable Executive Orders, Federal personnel and security regulations and other procedures, policies and guidance applicable to the Program.
  • Knowledge of how to apply CFR and OPM adjudicative guidelines to make suitability determinations
  • Knowledge of how to apply E.O. 10450 to make National Security adjudications
  • Knowledge of HSPD 12 requirements and associated particulars dealing with Personal Identification Verification issues.
  • Two or more years of experience performing administrative support in personnel security functions
  • Completion of an OPM accredited course.
  • Must be able to multitask and be attentive to details.

Physical Requirements: This position requires employees to be willing and able to: sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk.

Communication:Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and oral command of English.
