Job summary

Salus Homecare is seeking Personal Care Assistants/Caregivers to fill multiple cases in the San Gabriel Valley, including West Covina. Open shifts mornings, afternoons, weekends and overnights with competitive pay rates.

Responsibilities include companionship, assisting with personal care, bathing, mobility support, transportation, and maintaining client safety and confidentiality. Candidates must meet CA Homecare Aide Certification requirements and pass a TB test.

Qualifications

• CA Homecare Aide Certification (HCA) is required.
• TB test within 90 days of start.
• Must be able to work legally in the USA.
• Physical ability to perform all job functions.
• Safe driving record and auto insurance if driving with clients.

Responsibilities

• Serving as a companion to clients.
• Arrives to clients' home on a timely manner.
• Assist clients with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparations and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed
• Transporting clients to and from appointments, errands, activities, etc.
• Turning, repositioning and move patients between beds, wheelchairs and seats
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of the client
• Maintains confidentiality of all clients information according to HIPAA standards
• Notifies the office of any abnormal findings or conditions
• Represents the company with a positive image at all times

Personal Attendant Qualifications:

• Homecare Aide Certification (HCA)- This is a CA State requirement which involves registering as a Personal Attendant and providing Livescan fingerprints for a FBI Background check - Salus can help you with this process if you are not currently certified.

• Must be able to legally work within the USA
• Physical capability to preform all job functions
• Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if you will be driving with clients
