Job summary

Salus Homecare - San Gabriel Valley is seeking Personal Care Assistants/Caregivers for multiple shifts across the San Gabriel Valley, including West Covina. Roles involve companionship, basic personal care, and transportation to activities and appointments in clients' homes.

Flexibility in shifts (mornings, afternoons, weekends, overnights) and a supportive benefits package are offered to help maintain client well-being and safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• CA State Homecare Aide Certification (HCA) required; Salus can assist with process.
• TB test within 90 days of start.
• Must be able to legally work within the USA.
• Physical capability to perform all job functions.
• Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if driving with clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to clients.
• Arrive at client homes on time.
• Assist with personal care including bathing, oral hygiene, meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation.
• Transport clients to appointments and errands.
• Turn and reposition patients in beds, wheelchairs or seats.
• Demonstrate flexibility to meet client needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information per HIPAA standards.
• Notify the office of any abnormal findings or conditions.
• Represent the company with a positive image at all times.

Job description

We are currently looking for Personal Care Assistant/Caregivers looking to fill multiple cases: Mornings, Afternoons, Weekends and Overnights in the following locations in San Gabriel Valley Alhambra,San Gabriel,Monterey Park,Rosemead, West Covina,Hacienda Heights and more surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Serving as a companion to clients
• Arrives to clients home on a timely manner.
• Assist clients with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparations and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed
• Transporting clients to and from appointments, errands, activities, etc.
• Turning, repositioning and move patients between beds, wheelchairs and seats
• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in meeting the needs of the client
• Maintains confidential of all clients information according to HIPPA standards
• Notifies the office of any abnormal findings or conditions
• Represents the company with a positive image at all times

Personal Attendant Qualifications:

• Homecare Aide Certification (HCA)- This is a CA State requirement which involves registering as a Personal Attendant and providing Livescan fingerprints for a FBI Background check - Salus can help you with this process if you are not currently certified.
