Job summary

Equinox in Boston is seeking an Assistant Personal Training Manager to lead the PT department, uphold the Equinox experience, and develop a high-performing team of coaches. You will drive member engagement, partner with Membership Advisors and Operations, conduct audits, and mentor coaches to deliver premium programming while growing the club’s personal training business.

Strong leadership, exceptional communication, and a data-driven approach to profitability are required to achieve monthly

Qualifications

• Current national PT certification, CPR/AED, First Aid. Exercise Science or Sports Management Degree preferred.
• Proven ability to drive revenue, including sales skills with focus on attracting new clients and retention.
• Desire to grow into a future PT leader, with interest in developing the PT business.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in educational, fitness or management settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative leadership and strong interaction with members, clients, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational excellence in PT department and coach development.
• Collaborate with Membership Advisors to convey PT value proposition.
• Conduct session audits and provide timely feedback.
• Support weekly PT/GM meetings and partner with Operations.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain coaches to meet headcount targets.
• Deliver in-club education and lead Coach X meetings when applicable.
• Drive monthly action plans and ensure branded, high-quality member interactions.
