YMCA of Greater Kansas City is seeking certified personal trainers to work part-time, building real relationships with members through coaching, encouragement, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Current nationally accredited personal training certification is required (ACE, NASM, ACSM, or NSCA).
• CPR/First Aid certification is required or willingness to obtain upon hire (company covers cost).
• 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping people of all fitness levels reach goals.
• Strong communication and a warm, encouraging coaching style.
• Reliable, professional, and a true team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-on-one and small group training sessions tailored to each client's goals and abilities.
• Design personalized fitness plans and adjust them as clients progress.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with members that keeps them coming back.
• Ensure a safe workout environment by following YMCA and certification guidelines.
• Maintain accurate session records and client progress notes.
• Collaborate with fellow associates to create a welcoming, supportive wellness area.
• Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or incidents to the appropriate supervisor promptly.
