Job summary

Carilion Wellness seeks a Personal Trainer to train members on a fee-for-service basis at our Roanoke-area facilities. You’ll assess clients, design personalized programs, teach safe techniques, and lead group clinics under the supervision of the director.

Education: high school diploma; Certification from ACE/AFAA/ACSM/NSCA or Cooper Institute; BLS-HCP within 90 days. Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently and record progress.

Qualifications

• Personal training certification from a recognized program; BLS required within 90 days.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Trains members on a fee-for-service basis.
• Conducts initial client assessments and designs personalized exercise programs.
• Instructs clients on safe and effective training techniques.
• Leads group clinics and educational sessions for members as assigned.
• Maintains accurate records of client sessions, progress, and training plans.
