Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma and one or more National Fitness Certifications.
• Preferred: 2- or 4-year degree in Exercise Science.
• CPR, First-Aid, and AED certifications required.
• Virginia driver's license with good driving record.
• Certification from nationally recognized fitness agencies (ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, AAHPFRP) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal training sessions for individuals and/or groups.
• Generates clientele.
• Maintains thorough records of attendance and exercise prescriptions.
• Designs and implements exercise programs based on client needs and goals.
• Motivates and coaches clients to achieve their goals.
• Monitors wellness areas for safe equipment use.
• Reports equipment malfunctions or risks to supervisor.
• Enforces department policies for using equipment.
• Addresses participant concerns promptly.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings; stays current with certifications.
• Participates in workshops to stay updated on industry trends.
