PERSONAL TRAINER

SUMMARY
The Personal Trainer provides one-on-one fitness instruction and develops exercise programs for our Club members. The Personal Trainer will focus on changing lives through service, science, and sales. We expect our Personal Trainers to be fitness brand ambassadors forRolling Hills Country Club.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sell private and/or group training sessions with members, conduct member tours, andcomplete sales when needed.
- Evaluate the clients' physical fitness and ensure accurateadministration of client programs, to include measurements tracking, workout programs tracking, etc.
- Demonstrate movements, exercises, and the exercise equipment recommended for the clients.
- Provide encouragement and support for the client and recognize the client's strengths and weaknesses.
- Assist in revenue-generating activities, such as complimentary workouts and workshops.
- Achieve personal monthlyrevenue objectives as set forth by the Club through sessions, PT and/orsupplement sales.
- Arrive on time, prepared andattentive for training appointments. Conduct safe and effective private training sessions.
- Maintain the organization andneat presentation of the fitness floor and training spaces.
- Respond professionally torequests and inquiries from members and staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of private training techniques from assessment to program design.
- Must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be proficient with basic skills in Word and Excel.
- Must possess the ability to interact with members and staff on all levels in a professional, positive, and friendly manner. As well, must be efficient,well organized, and have the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions.
- Ability to work as a team player and always maintain a professional appearance.
- Ability to work all shifts – days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
EXPERIENCE
- Six months of related experience preferred in club or hospitality industry
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Collegedegree in physical education or related field preferred
- Certification from a nationally recognized agency such as ACE, AFFA, ASCM, NSCA, and/or NSPA required
- The following certifications are preferred and/or be willing to be certified at RHCC:
- CPR Certification
- First-Aid Certification
- AED Certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift and/or carry items up to 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to regularly lift heavy weights, bend, squat, reach, and spot
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
