Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that each member completes a standard health risk appraisal prior to beginning the training regimen
- Enter all training sessions into the club POS system properly
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner and be on time for all appointments
- Assist members by answering questions and teaching them how to use various pieces of equipment
- Customize training regimens and instruction for members based on their unique fitness conditions
- Ensure all workouts are conducted safely, in accordance with national certification guidelines
- Respect member privacy by keeping all personal and fitness‑related information confidential
- Assist with the cleanliness and maintenance of the fitness center facilities
- Participate in fitness center promotional activities
- Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all member requests
Qualifications
- National certification by an IHRSA‑approved certification body for Personal Training preferred
- CPR and AED certification required
- Fluency in English
- Ability to reach with hands and arms, and to push, pull, or lift up to 30 pounds
- Required to spend long periods standing
