The Personal Trainer is responsible for helping individual members achieve personal fitness goals in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with Y policies and procedures. Part-time
There are no supervisory responsibilities.
Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be proficient in Daxko Engage software.
There are no education requirements. At least one year of experience in personal training is preferred. Area(s) of expertise certifications and training required.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to quickly changing room temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Frequently required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May be required to lift or move up to 100 pounds. Must be able to explain and demonstrate proper technique on all fitness equipment and/or exercises that are recommended to members.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of members or employees of the organization.
