Job summary

YMCA is seeking a Personal Trainer to design individualized workouts and lead small-group sessions in a welcoming wellness environment. You will develop plans for various fitness levels, assess progress, and promote programs to grow client engagement.

Required are CPR/First Aid/Oxygen certifications (ASHI) or willingness to obtain within 30 days, and 2+ years of Exercise Science education or equivalent experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of education in Exercise Science preferred; or equivalent training/experience.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications (ASHI) or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to motivate diverse client groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop workout plans for individuals and small groups (2–4 clients).
• Assess client progress and adjust programs accordingly.
• Promote wellness programs and recruit new clients for personal training.
• Provide safe, effective exercise guidance in fitness center.
