Job summary

Sagewell in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Personal Trainer to manage client assessments, design individual and small group exercise programs, and guide nutrition to help clients reach their health goals. You will work under supervision in a medical fitness setting, supporting motivation and adherence to plans.

Responsibilities include recording attendance and payments, conducting fitness assessments, teaching safe equipment use, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Personal training certification from ACSM/NASM/AFAA or equivalent is required.
• Experience in fitness assessments and client coaching is desirable.

• Develop and prescribe individual and small group exercise programs based on assessments and clients' goals.
• Maintain records of attendance and payments in internal systems.
• Conduct fitness assessments and consultations to understand clients' goals, fitness levels, and health considerations.
• Motivate and inspire clients to maintain training routines and follow plans.
• Inform clients of safe and proper use of equipment to prevent injuries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Sagewell is located at 3518 Drawbridge Parkway (inside MedCenter Greensboro) Greensboro, NC 27410 and 723 S Van Buren Road Suite A-4 Eden, NC 27288. The Personal Trainer manages their client's physical assessments, exercise programs, and nutrition to achieve their health and fitness goals. Working under close supervision for routine situations, this role is critical for driving clients' motivation and inspiration to follow their fitness plan.

Essential Job Function

• Helps develop and prescribe individual and small group exercise programs based on physical assessment results and clients' fitness goals.
• Maintains a record of past and present clients' attendance and payments within the organization's internal systems.
• Conducts fitness assessments and consultations to understand clients' goals, fitness levels, and health considerations.
• Conducts fitness assessments and consultations to understand clients' goals, fitness levels, and health considerations.
• Motivates and inspires clients to maintain consistent training routines and stay committed to their fitness goals.
• Informs clients and members of safe and proper usage of equipment to prevent injuries.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification/Listing

• Required: Personal Training Certification, such as ACSM, NASM AFAA, or other NCCA.
