Job summary

Walmart is seeking a detail-oriented associate at our Houston facility to support Membership, process upgrades and credit accounts, and participate in sales and marketing events while aiming to meet Membership goals.

You will also ensure safety, fulfill Fax n Pull orders, assist customers, adhere to Open Door Policy, and contribute to continuous improvements using new technologies and skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and supports Membership by providing information on Membership benefits, promoting the value of Walmart products and services, processing Membership upgrades and credit accounts, participating in sales and marketing events, and meeting Membership goals.
• Maintains safety of Facility by following safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including safety sweeps, forklift spotting procedures, handling hazardous materials, reporting unsafe situations.
• Fulfills Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by reviewing orders, pulling items, scanning, wrapping and palletizing, ensuring accuracy of orders and invoices, securing items until Members arrive, and following up on out-of-stock merchandise.
• Completes work by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers and colleagues, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, communicating progress, addressing improvements, and adapting to change.
• Provides member service by acknowledging the member, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting Walmart products and services.
• Complies with policies and ethics standards by implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these while executing business processes.
• Delivers results with customer focus, balancing short- and long-term priorities, and considering impact on team performance.
• Strives for excellence by curiosity, learning, risk-taking, resilience, continuous improvements, and using new technologies and skills.

• Maintains safety of Facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, adhering to company steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to management.
• Fulfills Member Fax n Pull and Click n Pull orders by reviewing orders, pulling items from shelves, scanning items, wrapping and palletizing items, ensuring accuracy of orders and invoices, securing items until Members arrive, and following up on out‑of‑stock merchandise.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties and feedback.
• Provides member service by acknowledging the member, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the Company’s products and services.
• Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
