Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Digital Clerk to fulfill online curbside orders accurately and quickly, creating a smooth pickup experience for customers. You’ll greet customers, handle payments, and maintain a positive, collaborative store environment.

The role emphasizes service mindset, accuracy, and teamwork, with training provided to learn new technologies and processes. Physical tasks and standing for extended periods are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer-first approach and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process-driven with ability to follow procedures efficiently.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable curbside service through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly attitude (in person and on the phone) and respond to questions and needs.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members across the store and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items throughout the store, scan/verify products, and bag items appropriately using bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
