Tower Hill Insurance Group LLC in Gainesville, FL invites a Personal Lines Underwriter to join our growing team. You will evaluate new and renewal applications, discuss risk with agents, and help maintain a profitable personal lines portfolio under guided supervision.

We value intellectual curiosity, teamwork, and a commitment to excellent customer service. A Bachelor's degree is required; industry designations are preferred and an active license is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Equivalent experience may substitute for minimum educational requirements.
• Active Insurance License strongly preferred.
• Property and casualty insurance designations preferred (e.g. AIC, CPCU).

Responsibilities

• Review insurance applications and endorsements to evaluate submissions per underwriting guidelines.
• Assess risk quality during renewal review to ensure compliance and initiate loss prevention actions.
• Research and resolve requests for missing information from agency partners.
• Communicate with agents to obtain information, respond to inquiries, and assist in risk placement and rating.
• Explain underwriting policies to internal and external customers and work with field reps and other insurers.
• Develop relationships with internal teams to attract and retain profitable business.
